Established in 1992, Qingdao Hi-Tech Industrial Park is a national Hi-Tech Zone approved by the state council.Located in the eastern part of Qingdao city, with a programmed area of 16.7 square kilometers. It consists of Hi-Tech product export base, Biology Valley, University Science Park, Software Park, Huite Industrial zone etc. After 9 years\' development, Electronic Information, Biology Engineering, Marine Technology, Home appliances, Electronic Medical Equipment, precision chemical industry, automobile spares industry become the backbone industry. As an agency of Qingdao municipal government, the Administration Committee of Qingdao Hi-tech Industrial Park has autonomy in future planning, economy, investment, etc., especially in the field of land transfer, project approval and registration.
    Incubating bases:
    There are six incubators in the Hi-tech Industrial Park: Innovation Mansion, Biological Innovation Park, Hi-tech Innovation Park, Pioneering Park, Hi-tech Technology Innovation Center, Hi-tech Industrial Park Software Park.
    Innovation Mansion: The comprehensive technological enterprises incubator, used in year of 2002, with the basic construction area of 20 thousand square meters.
    Biological Innovation Park: Biological technological enterprise special incubator, used in year of 2001, with the basic construction area of 16 thousand square meters.
    
    Hi-tech Park S&T Innovation Center: The comprehensive incubator, used in 1993 with the basic construction area of 105 thousand square meters.
Software Industrial Base: Special software industrial incubator with the programming site of 251 Mu, the project One occupied 90 Mu and the general construction area of 5.6 square meters, comprised by one software mansion and two electronic information mansions. 
    Innovation Park: located in the east of Zhuzhou Road, in the opposite of Shandong Daewoo Company, with the area of 15.3 Mu and the overground construction area of 10758.1 square meters. The living service establishment is all ready with the office building, workshop, and basement, which used in Mar.2004.
    Overseas Park: The comprehensive incubator, mainly for those repatriated people abroad with the incubated area of 5 thousand square meters.
